Italy | Cultivating Italian Farming with FJD Robotic Technology: An Insightful Talk with New Agri

The energy at the FJDynamics Global Dealer Conference 2026 was electric, but amidst the high-tech displays and global buzz, one face stood out as a familiar symbol of partnership and success. Matteo, representing New Agri, had an insightful talk with us to share his journey from the rolling hills of Italy to the cutting edge of agricultural robotics.

New Agri is the 2025 winner of the Best Distributor Award. This honor isn't handed out lightly—it recognizes a year of outstanding sales, a relentless drive for brand promotion, and a partnership that has become a benchmark for others in the industry. For Matteo, being here was about more than just business; it was about celebrating a five-year bond that is helping to reshape Italian farming.

A Five-Year Friendship Built on Innovation

Matteo speaks about FJDynamics not as a corporate entity, but as an old friend. New Agri itself is a young, dynamic company founded in 2018, yet it is powered by a staff with deep, specialized experience in agricultural components and precision systems. Their mission has always been simple: provide quality, reliability, and affordability to the Italian farmer.

"For me, it is an enormous pleasure to be at this event," Matteo shared with a smile. "I have been collaborating with FJDynamics for five years, and this is the second year that I am here visiting. For the second consecutive year, FJDynamics has given us an award. It is a great honor to be here and to be surprised every time by the new innovations you present to us."

This "surprise" is what keeps the partnership fresh. In a market as traditional as Italy—which boasts over 1.1 million farms—staying relevant means constantly offering something new that actually works in the dirt, not just on a spec sheet.

Solving the Italian Waste Problem

Italy is one of Europe’s agricultural powerhouses, with 12.6 million hectares of land dedicated to everything from vineyards to grain. However, the sector faces a significant hurdle: environmental vulnerability and the high cost of chemicals. Italian farmers are increasingly moving toward sustainability, but they need the tools to make that shift profitable.

When asked about the standout technology from this year's conference, Matteo pointed immediately to the ATS and ATS Ultra precision spraying systems. For him, this are not just new innovations; it’s a practical solution to a national crisis.

"Today I was satisfied with the presentation of the new ATS and ATS Ultra precision spraying systems," Matteo explained. "The problem in my region, and throughout all of Italy, is the waste of pesticides. We need less usage to safeguard our nature. In my opinion, these innovations will help not only my company, but also all Italian farms to have greater profits and better results."

By targeting exactly where chemicals are needed rather than blanket-spraying an entire field, Italian farmers can protect their soil while significantly cutting their overhead costs. It’s a win-win for the environment and the bank account.

Robotics: The Answer to Italy's Labor Shortage

The Italian countryside is beautiful, but it is also aging. With a severe aging workforce in the local farming communities, the industry is grappling with a massive labor shortage. Young people are moving to cities, leaving a gap that manual labor simply can’t fill anymore.

During the conference, FJDynamics CEO Dr. James Wu addressed the global strategy for robotics, a topic that resonated deeply with Matteo. He sees autonomous tech not as a replacement for farmers, but as a necessary lifeline.

"Dr. James Wu said something very important today regarding the world of robotics," Matteo noted. "It is not something to be underestimated because there is a great shortage of labor in all global markets. The help of robots is truly important in the agricultural world. I see a future in this turning point, mostly to provide more help to our Italian farms."

Matteo believes that high-quality tech—specifically drones and autonomous steering for tractors—represents the "true turning point" for the region. By allowing tractors to operate independently and drones to handle aerial tasks, a single farmer can manage more land with less physical strain.

Digitalization: Managing All Operations in the Field

Beyond the heavy machinery, Matteo was particularly impressed by the digital infrastructure FJDynamics is building to support its partners. Precision agriculture isn’t just about the hardware in the field; it’s about the data behind it.

His favorite part of the event wasn't just the robots themselves, but the system that manages them. "My favorite part was the presentation of the whole world of robotics—meaning the automation of drones and the automatic controls to manage all operations in the field," he said.

He also highlighted the new DMS (Dealer Management System) portal, which aims to bridge the gap between field data and business management. "I also really liked the world of digitalization and the possibility of reading and managing all the tasks through the DMS portal you are creating. It is truly a helpful portal," he added, describing it as a vital tool for the modern dealer.

A Future Without Limits

As Matteo heads back to Italy with the Best Distributor Award in his luggage, his outlook for the future of New Agri and FJDynamics is bright. The challenges of an aging workforce and environmental regulations are real, but with the right technology, they are far from insurmountable.

By combining New Agri's specialized local knowledge with FJDynamics’ global innovation, the Italian agricultural landscape is being transformed. From autonomous tractors to precision sprayers that protect the Tuscan hills, the "turning point" Matteo spoke of is already here.

'These products represent the true turning point for all activities in the agricultural sector,” Matteo concluded. As New Agri continues to lead the way in Italy, one thing is clear: the partnership between these two companies is just getting stronger.
